How I work

I am a qualified integrative counsellor, which means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches rather than following a single fixed method. Just as no two plants grow in exactly the same way, no two people need the same thing from therapy. What helps you grow will be entirely unique to you.

At the heart of my practice is Person Centred Therapy - an approach that places you, not the therapist, at the centre of the process. This means we work at your pace, in the direction that feels right for you. There is no agenda, no rushing, and no judgement. Just a warm, consistent space where you feel genuinely heard, understood and accepted - because that experience of being truly seen is often where the most meaningful change begins.

I also draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) - a practical approach that helps you explore the connections between your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. This can be particularly helpful when anxiety, stress or unhelpful patterns, and offers tools you can use beyond our sessions.

Where relationships are at the heart of what you're navigating, I draw on Transactional Analysis - an approach that helps make sense of patterns in how we relate to others, and find healthier, more fulfilling ways of connecting.

Whether you are looking for emotional support, deeper self-understanding, or practical strategies for change - or all three - I will work collaboratively with you to find the right balance. My approach is always flexible, always focused on you, and always grounded in the belief that growth is possible, even in the hardest environments we find ourselves in.

How we meet

In person

My preferred way of working is face to face. I believe the therapeutic relationship is built not just through words, but through presence. We often communicate with more than just our words, tension in our bodies, movements or stillness - these are the things that pass between two people in a room that can't be replicated on screen.

Face to face sessions are 50 minutes and held in dedicated therapy rooms in Sale within easy reach of Altrincham, Stretford, Cheshire and Manchester.

Online

I understand that getting to a session in person isn't always possible. For those times, I also offer a 50 minute online sessions via Google Meet - a secure, private and convenient alternative.

Online sessions can also complement face to face work, giving you the flexibility around your schedule.
